EASTER PILGRIMMAGE AND GRAIL QUEST

The idea is this: allow the death of the small self (also called
the ego, but this phrase can be confusing, associated with much
psychological paraphernalia).
The name that your parents gave you, going back seven generations,
allow this to die and awaken to your Fundamental Self, formless and
free, also called the Christ. (But this, too, causes much confusion -
this word, this phrase, Christ - especially in the West, where rediscovering
your innermost nature as Christ is very much associated with
madness).
Allow the anointed one to arise within you.
I would not bother with this teaching if there were
anyone else in our culture
exposing this.
Great poems have been written and wondrous drawings
made - all by half-forgotten artists and seers. And the best of them
do not care to be remembered.
The key is to awaken to the Fundamental Self,
which identity arises without attachments, beneath and beyond the
world of grasping. Do not be enslaved to grasping.
These words come after much travel on my part
and incessant study, all thoughts of which have been
discarded.
After all, I say only this:

"The willows are green
And the flowers glow."

(Not my poem).

Sit in the silence, away from all expectations. Allow the
quiet to reign. One fine morning, after all intricacies, all
intellectual debate and after all philosophical issues
are quelled, you will awaken to your ordinary mind,
which is the holiest ground of all.
After the journey or ten thousand miles, the sense of wonder
will grow.
Then you will know me and know yourself and you will
REALIZE the holy one, man of no titles.

Request in prayer the blessings of all the saints as you begin
the most difficult journey around all the worlds: to voyage to that place...
where you already are.

THE GREATEST LIE THAT'S EVER BEEN TOLD

The power of the Roman Empire and the empire's church destroyed as
many of these early gospels as could be found by the Tenth Legion
entering Egypt. Those legions that were to follow continued the destruction
of holy books that the Roman Empire and its church denounced as
being "heresy", as being "abominations". The fact of the matter is
the texts the empire church condemned were actually the True Vine
of Christ's Vision and message.
So the very earliest followers of Christ and His Eucharist,
those who knew how to partake of real Holy Communion with the Christ,
these holy men and women from the time of the Saviour and the
hundred years after his "death" were forced to run for their very lives.
It was necessary to escape to the hills or else be put to the sword.
The Roman empire and its church were not going to put up with a
bunch of dangerous revolutionary crazies who actually were sharing their property and food in common and were living the way of life taught by
the Christ, the holy One of God.
They gathered together in a ceremony in which their leader allowed his
Flesh to be eaten as food for the Spirit,
and allowed His Blood to be drunk as nourishment for the Soul...

In order to be fair and see both sides of the issue, I'm sure
it all seemed a little nuts to the Romans - especially the part about
relinquishing your personal property. The Romans took property law
especially seriously. They were nothing if not practical.
Also, this bit about drinking the blood of the leader and eating his flesh
seemed a bit barbaric, even to the Romans! This is saying something!
The Romans were people who participated in blood baths themselves,
standing under the slit throat of a sacrificed bull, or some other dying,
bleeding beast; they allowed the blood to pour down all over them
in sacrifice to one of their gods or another.
So if the Romans thought you were far out there, beyond the pale: too
weird to trust and too barbaric to be tolerated, well... you either had to be
a real monster, or the propaganda against you had to be monstrously
effective.
Propaganda (ie:the lie) is not just rampant in our 21st century.
The Roman Empire knew all about its uses, too. The Romans were
conquerors; they knew how to discredit an enemy before they
attacked them. This is exactly what they did to the early followers
of Christ.
They saw there was money and power in this growing religion
following a so-called Messiah who had been crucified in Jerusalem.
The Roman Empire knew all about money and power. So when they saw this growing movement, they wanted some of the action. But some of the more
foolhardy beliefs (to the Romans) of the early Christians simply had to be
changed.
So they took the earliest gospels and hired a ghost writer. The gospels
took on an even narrative line, which is a mark of later, more sophisticated
literature. The early holy books were changed to become acceptable to
the Roman way of life. Almost all of the mysticism was taken out of
the holy texts. The gospels became middle of the road. And one thing
the Romans knew how to build was roads.
Some gospels didn't even make it into the Bible. The gospel of John
was very nearly excluded by the council of Nicea, 425 A.D. This was
essentially a meeting of the religious Chamber of Commerce, which
tossed out any heresies, oddities, abominations, and especially
any inconvenient truths those nasty little books had to offer.
The truth of the Messiah was being made respectable, which is to say
it was being controlled.

So the earliest disciples of Christ were portrayed as being monstrous barbarians , who were suspiciously communist, and who were blasphemers
of the Roman Jupiter. And later, after the Council of Nicea, after the
church at Rome had taken over the cash business of the forgiveness of souls,
these earliest ones who communed with Christ were condemned as
heretics and discredited. They were also murdered. Burned at the stake,
thrown to the lions, put to the sword and banished.
So it was also with the earliest, arguably the most faithful gospels.
None of them made it into the Big Book. They were just too revolutionary
to be tolerated by a comfortable, materialistic society with its deceptively simplistic religion now called Christianity. All the hard parts have been
taken out.
The Bible had been emasculated.

Western religion has been hijacked by a bunch of thugs. And the first
thing these thieves did was control the supply. They created a monopoly
in the God business. Then they set about stepping between God and man
and demanded a percentage of everyone's income as the price of
forgiveness.
Unbelievable! And then they insisted that you "believe"
based on no evidence at all. They tore the guts out of the real
Eucharist, the real Communion with Christ, and they handed you a dry
wafer and expected you to nod your head in blind agreement.
And if you disagreed publicly, then they sent in their enforcers and
they made you squeal out your agreement under torture.
The message was: "Don't mess with our supply!"
"This is our territory; you mess with us, you're dead!" The
Inquisition lasted a very long time indeed. It wasn't just one hundred
years of thuggery. It was something like six hundred years of strong-arm
tactics, torture and murder. And the worst part of it was that the God
drug was cut! There wasn't any product there at all! Nothing real!
Because the Truth really will make you free... And the church of the
Empire instinctively knew this. Once men got a taste of the real thing,
there was just no way anyone would take those priests seriously...

Jesus, the Christ, the Anointed One of God said this:
"Woe to the pharisees, for they are like a dog sleeping in a manger
of oxen, for neither does he eat nor does he let the oxen eat."
(Gospel of Thomas.)

The pharisees were the priests of His time. They wanted the same thing
many of the priests of today want. They want power and control and to be
seen as important. They also want the cash necessary for them to assume
their high place in society - comfortable cars, comfy homes and the
unearned respect of their fellow men.
And they keep the keys to the doors of the church, the keys to the
altar of God, keys which are too often used to lock those doors and keep
other people out. Just try getting into a church at night!
These are the guys who arranged for the crucifixion of Our Saviour.

Luckily there are other altars of God out of doors, places of power
throughout the world where the true followers of the Vision
may meditate and pray.
It has been written:

"I will not send my son again to be crucified among men.
Instead, in this new age, men shall be crucified upon the Christ."

Make of this what you will... 2,000 years after the persecution
of the Saviour.

Christ has been made to appear so unique, so exceptional, so
impossibly above the ordinary man that the wrong impression is given.
If the Christ is that much of an exception, that different and special,
of a virgin birth, etc. then what man can hope to commune with Him?
No one can hope to realize the Christ within. To approach God, you need
the intervention of the priests. And that costs money.
It pays those who support the church hierarchy to make the Christ so miraculous and unapproachable that the ordinary man is alienated
from Him. This way the empire church can monopolize this unique jewel
that no one else has.
In fact, Christ is the innermost nature of all of us. He is not so different
and not so far away:

"Do not call me Master, for he who drinks the bubbling
spring of waters from my mouth,
he shall become as I am
and I shall be he,
and the hidden things shall be revealed to him."
(Italics mine). Gospel of Thomas.

I keep repeating this phrase, because it is essential to show the ancient
vision of communion with the anointed Christ and the mystery of
identity that is the core of it. This vision has been lost in modern times. We
are in desperate need of this true vision.
Our very survival depends upon it. The ancient knowledge of the
mysterious nature of the Eucharist; we must reclaim it, rediscover the
knowing experience.
It is the meaning we are growing towards;it is the flowering of our
future, it is the blossoming of our destiny.
It is the Way.

PRACTICAL STEPS TO GREAT REALIZATION

Now regarding matters of the Christ there is a Fundamental Issue,
a Fundamental Position that must be grasped. And it is a different problem than anyone supposes.
In approaching Christ, it is not enough to cling to blind faith and belief.
It is also impossible to follow His way. Who wants to lift up the cross and
be crucified? In practical terms, what do we do?
"Just take Christ into your heart," we are urged, "Have faith. Believe."
All this is fine, but it is not enough. What is required is that you prepare a place
within, a cavern, an empty space not filled with thought.
Prepare a place for Grace to come, which comes as a gift from the Father,
who sends his Comforter to you. The spirit that comes to fill you is the
Holy Spirit, which will not come by invocation.
You are preparing for the dark night of the soul. You are preparing to
meet the Christ in the most intimate way. You are preparing for
illumination, an entirely different way of seeing.
We are preparing for the Great Realization, Liberation. In all the world,
there is just one. There is no other.
It is the Realization of God and of your ultimate identity, through an
ultimate realization.

Christ is not separate from what you are.

It is necessary first to clear your mind of rational thought. The brain is busy -
like a monkey chasing its own tail. Stop trying to analyze everything. Stop trying to achieve anything. You've got to , "TRY NOT TO TRY". How's that for a
mind-cracker!
We are talking about Mindshocks here, about attaining an entirely different sense of reality. I am not saying, "Just have faith."
I am saying we've got to dig a little deeper. There's work to be done
to prepare yourself for Realization of the True One!
This is the Light at the end of the path.

A TALE OF EARLY OPPRESSION

Here's an example of the sort of oppression our early brothers and sisters in Christ faced when dealing with the temporal authority of their day.
At this particular time, about 430 A.D., the religious chamber of commerce
had decided which books were part of the Christian Canon and which books were heretical (see Council of Nicea, 425 A.D.). You see, those weird earlier Christians were actually holding property in common and giving all they had to their fellow
monks (and monkesses), and basically taking the revolutionary sayings of Jesus
the Christ seriously...
Well, the Roman Empire was nothing if not practical. And Christianity
had become the church of Rome. So "Christianity" meaning now the established
church in Rome simply had to take a rigid property law seriously, because not to do this simply did not make practical sense.
At the same time you have these groups of monastic mystics, whose whole purpose is to see God, and to commune with the Living One of God, and to be liberated by the visionary Truth of what they see...
It must be remembered, these men and women who saw God directly for themselves have no need of priests to intercede on their behalf. If they didn't need priests to see God, they didn't need to pay priests for forgiveness.

Panapolis was a town by the Nile River at this time. Across the river you could see the caves where the earthen jars that contained the forty to fifty texts
of the Nag Hammadi library were hidden away - to be found 2,000 years later.
Shenoute was abbot of the monastery at Panapolis. He represented the church of the Roman empire and was not amused to find a group worshipping at a nearby temple. This group referred to themselves as "kingless", and would not accept
Cyril, Archbishop of Alexandria, as their "illuminator". These terms are well known in the texts found at Nag Hammadi. This group represented what we might call the earlier Christians.
Shenoute called them "pagan heretics". He seized their "books full of abomination" and "of every kind of magic" (the very sort of speaking in tongues, words found at Nag Hammadi).
These groups of condemned Christians communicated with each other using
a code the Roman Church could not decifer. In fact, the founder of all the monastaries in the area had once used the same code.
Shenoute threatened these earlier Christians (called heretics): " I shall make you acknowledge...the Archbishop Cyril, or else the sword will wipe out most of you, and moreover those of you who are spared will go into exile."
Just as the Dead Sea Scrolls were put in jars for safekeeping and hidden at the time of the approach of the Roman Tenth Legion, the burial of the Nag Hammadi library in a jar may also have been precipitated by the approach of Roman authorities, who by then had become "Christian".
(Taken from the introduction of "The Nag Hammadi Library In English", introduction written by James M. Robinson. It should be noted that I paraphrased many of his words, and the particular expression of the argument is my own.)

Walt Whitman says it this way: "Whatever is nearest, easiest, cheapest is me."

Jesus, the CHRIST ( the annointed one, the bread of heaven) says: In so far
as you reject the least of these my people, you reject me. If you do it to the
least of these, you do it to me. (This is a paraphrase).

God as a woman speaks in "The Thunder, Perfect Mind" and says:
"I am the honoured one and the scorned one.
I am the whore and the holy one.
I am the wife and the virgin.
I am the mother and the daughter..."

"I am the bride and the bridegroom
and it is my husband who begot me
I am the mother of my father
and the sister of my husband
and he is my offspring..."

"Why, you who hate me, do you love me
and hate those who love me?
You who deny me, confess me,
and you who confess me, deny me..."

"For I am knowledge and ignorance.
I am shame and boldness.
I am shameless and I am ashamed.
I am stength and I am fear.
I am war and peace.
Give heed to me.
I am the one who is disgraced and the great one."

Earlier I was lamenting the fact that the Gospel of Mary was almost entirely destroyed. I also said I thought it would re-emerge somehow. Well, here it is!
This, "The Thunder, Perfect Mind", is also the Gospel of Mary - the Gospel of
Mary Magdalene, woman of ill-repute, woman of the streets, who is also the beloved of the Saviour, who washed the Christ's feet with oil and her own hair,
this is her Gospel.

In all of the above passages, the speaker identifies himself/herself with the
very lowest, cheapest and most scorned person of mankind.

To the Greeks in classical times, the greatest sin before the gods was "hubris".
Hubris is excessive self-confidence, arrogance. And the one thing the Greek gods
always punished was arrogance. Each of the Greek gods is one part of the human psyche; you can call them archetypes. (More on this later).

What these speakers above express in these passages is the very opposite of 'hubris'. They identify with the least proud in humanity - and this is true
humility and compassion.

Many priests should have learned this trait, as they drive by the people of the streets in their comfortable cars, and as they lock their church doors
to the scorned and homeless. In our society, people tend to judge those who
have less cash than they do.

This is a truly despicable trait, and one thing it is not, is Christian.

I don't know how it happens, but it does and we all do it; I remember driving by a group of homeless people at Sherbourne and Dundas in Toronto. I was in a silver-blue convertable Mercedes SL190 with red leather interior, and I remember feeling nothing but a little irritation that one of the street urchins had stumbled past my gleaming chrome fender... Oh, yeah, so I know exactle how some of those priests feel in their black Oldsmobiles and Lincolns with tinted
dark windows, as they wheel past the poor folks at 3:20 P.M. on their way to
drinks in an air-conditioned restaurant in Yorkville, ande a second lunch to follow. Let's call it "supper".

If you're down on your luck and lurching on the sidewalk in the summer heat,
one thing you can be sure of as these people wheel past: they're not thinking
of you!

By the way, years later I was to join the Dundas and Sherbourne crew for about a year and a half, so I know how it is.

If all the best minds of our generation, and any generation, say that their Vision
comes from a position of humility, who am I to argue with them?

So when you're driving by those disheveled, stumbling, lost souls on the street,
remember: maybe they're finding themselves.

As Dylan says, "Sometimes when you're at the top, you're at the bottom."

'Woe to those who have the keys to the Kingdom but do not enter; nor do they let
those enter, who wish to enter. They are like dogs in the manger, who do not
let the animals eat," says Jesus.

"I am the bread of life, sent from our Father in heaven."

Notes on the GOSPEL of TRUTH, Nag Hammadi Find (1945): Nag Hammadi Library,
ed. James M. Robinson.

This Gospel is about the joy of knowing the Father of truth, through realizing
the Word which comes from the fullness (pleroma) and the Mind of the Father, which is the Saviour.

Those without knowledge of the Father live in darkness, in error, in a fog which is also called oblivion, distraction. To bring light to those living in error and darkness
is to bring ENLIGHTENMENT. These are some of the terms used by the early Christians. The terms are only important in that they give the mind set of the early Christians. and the quite different way of thinking that they had, different from the thinking that the church has passed down to us.

Through Grace, it is possible to be given the totality, the completeness of He who
is from the Same; it is possible to find, to attain to the incomprehensible, inconceivable one who is superior to all thought. He who is called Christ may
be realized, known. And such a realization will bring the one who seeks back
to the totality, the fullness of the Father.

"Through this, the gospel of the one who is searched for, who is revealed to those who are perfect through the mercies of the Father, the hidden mystery, Jesus, the Christ, enlightened those who were in darkness through oblivion. He enlightened them; he showed them a way; and the way is the truth which he taught them."

"For this reason error grew angry at him, persecuted him, was distressed at him and was brought to naught. He was nailed to a tree and he became a fruit of the knowledge of the Father. It did not, however, cause distruction because it was eaten, but to those who ate it, it gave cause to become glad in the disccovery, and He discovered them in himself, and they discovered Him in themselves."

Through the Saviour the seekers discover the totality, the fullness, the perfection which is in the Father and also in his Word, his Son.

These early Christian terms might sound complicated at first, because they are different from the terms we have become used to in our present Christian world,
but in fact the message of the early Christ was not complicated at all. The difficulty we might have with these ancient terms is in their profound simplicity.

As Father Belyea says, "Nobody sees the obvious."

When the seeker finds the one who is sought (the Christ) and eats of the fruit
of the tree of His knowledge, the seeker who has been living in darkness finds
the light, is enlightened. And the Christ discoveres such seekers in Himself and the seekers find Christ within themselves. Gospel of Truth.

In the Gospel of Thomas, Christ says: "Do not call me Master, for he who drinks of the waters that flow from my mouth shall become as I am, and I shall be he and the hidden things shall be revealed to him."

What we are talking about is the mystery of communion, the mystery of the eucharist, which we now can see is a much deeper mystery than we have been led to believe.

The mystery of communion goes to the very heart of the seeker's IDENTITY, which changes its basic nature after eating the flesh of the Lord.

THE ONLY SIN IS SELF DOUBT

"THE ONLY SIN IS SELF DOUBT"

Of all the comments and sayings Father Belyea said, this one has given me the most trouble. It's implications are very difficult, not because of the saying's
complexity, but because the saying partakes of the utmost simplicity.

Another saying of Father Belyea's is: "NOBODY SEES THE OBVIOUS."
This saying also will not be understood with the intellect. It is a blow to the forehead
with a branch of a tree.

He'd walk up and down in front of the class. And the whole place was quiet, all three hundred students. Suddenly he'd spin on his heel and deliver one of these
Mind Blows, one of his high impact sayings.

He'd affect a barnyard accent, a tone of voice and a phrasing that came right out of the back forty. He was letting us know that these messages were not intellectually difficult; they were something else. He was appearing as an ordinary Joe, which he was. And he was not.

He was a highly educated guy. He was a priest after all, and he and his seminar group were slowly working their way, week after week through Dante's
Inferno. And the reading list for the course included some of the greatest books ever written by man.
And yet after all his years of training, he distilled what he had to say down to these few, brief, impossible to understand with the intellectual mind, sayings.

'THE ONLY SIN IS SELF DOUBT," try to wrap your mind around that one: make your peace with it. Be prepared to meditate for a long time.

SPIRIT AND PSYCHE

When Basilides
of Alexandria made his SEVEN SERMONS TO THE DEAD, he spoke of the dead
who had come to Alexandria, and "leaned against the wall" and "cried out in desperation for a vision of God and 'to learn what we lack' he was not referring to a group of corpses who walked like zombies through the night: no, he was speaking of the living who had not yet awakened.
So it is in the Gospel of Philip when the apostle says: "Blessed is he who restores sight to the THE BLIND," he is not talking about those who literally cannot see, but those who are living in blindness because they have not yet come
to realization.

Basilides was a teacher, a master, who had himself learned the way beyond, which is to become single in mind and spirit, and to unify completely with the Light
within. I think of the Zen people who value "One pointed Mind,"unified focus.

The dead had gone to Jerusalem and there "they did not find what they sought"
so they returned to ask questions of Basilides.

Basilides gave them seven sermons in order that "the dead" might awaken and come to life. In this way he was also restoring sight to the blind.

I should point out that these sermons were transcribed by none other than Carl Gustav Jung, who started his own school of therapy, naturally called the Jungian
school and method.

Now Jung stressed 'individuation', the growth of a person into what he is meant to be; and this growth takes place in the psyche, which also includes the Collective
Unconscious, which is different from the subconscious Freud taught about.
Why I bring this up is this: I think Jung was influenced by Basilides and his process of individuation is not unlike the process the ancient master speaks of,
the process of becoming unified and "single", which is to say not unduly influenced by the daemon of sexuality or by the "too crafty thoughts of the earthly one, who will creep through every hole and cleave to all thing with desirousness."

Basilides also says: "Communion is everything."

And:"Prayer increases the light of the Star within; it casts a bridge over death."

No religion is truly a religion that does not deal with eternal life. This is the promise Christ made, "Come to me and you will find life eternal."

"Before Abraham was, I am."

"Whoever finds the explanation of these words will not taste death."
Gospel of Thomas.

3:00A.M. with WALT WHITMAN

I was going to do a course called: RELIGION AND IMAGINATIVE LITERATURE
up at the campus at Nipissing University, but I didn't advertise enough and I got
only eight people who signed up, and four of them were nuns. The course was to be held in honour of Father Belyea, who gave a course by the same name at St. Michael's College, University of Toronto...oh, I'd say about thirty years ago.
I was going to take the class up into the bush and show them the need for the primitive gods.

Since then I've been all over the place and everywhere I went I visited a shrine. I saw a place on Easter Island that no one has ever talked about. I spent hours outside the Bat Cave in Bali, where hundreds of thousands of bats come and go. I saw them burn bodies on the steps above the holy Ganges River at Varanasi, oldest living city on earth. I also was shown the Temple of Love,
but that is another story for another time, if we have another time.
I can hear the editors' voices in my head shouting, "Get on topic!"
O.K., I'm back. I have to say: "THE HOLIEST SHRINE OF ALL IS THE HUMAN HEART/MIND." And Walt would agree. Waldo Emerson said: "There is ONE MIND in common
to all individual men." Carl Jung's work supports this fact. But let's not forget Walt Whitman. He's one of the few natural seers we've had in the West.
Walt says:"There was never more inception than there is now,
Nor any more youth or age than there is now;
And will never be any more perfection than there is now,
Nor any more heaven of hell than there is now."( Song of Myself)

Then he adds "I AND THIS MYSTERY HERE WE STAND." (Capitals mine)
What Walt is getting at throughout the waves and rhythms of his work
is exactly the same truth the early Christians meditated in order to see.

The problem is, as the Zen Buddhists very well know, it is impossible to describe the truth. How do you put a vision of God and his Son, unified in one into words, or a vision of the eternal Christ?
How do you describe the MOMENT of REALIZATION, the implosion of all things into darkness...
into which eventually shines the Light? The answer is: you don't.

All this writing is but the "finger pointing at the moon." It is not the moon itself. Only after searching and taking rationality to its dead end; then you stop and let a higher faculty take over,
and there is silence everywhere, and then you focus on a saying: "In the beginning was the Word."
This is a good saying, because there's no way you can understand it intellectually. Let the silence reign, and FOCUS.

Walt says: "Has anyone supposed it lucky to be born?
I hasten to inform him or her it is just as lucky to die, and I know it.

I pass death with the dying and birth with the new-washed babe
....and am not contained between my hat and boots "

Later he says: "Who need be afraid of the merge", and adds
later still: "....I come again and again."

From "the Sophia of Jesus Christ": "The Saviour"..."He is eternal, having no birth; for everyone
who has birth will perish. He is unbegotten, having no
beginning; for everyone who has a beginning has an end."

"The beginningless first Father who beholds himself within
(as with) a mirror. He was revealed, resembling
himself."

The Zen Buddhists speak of cleaning the mirror of the mind. Through meditation you come to a place where your soul is mirrored by the soul of the Father. It is a holy place. If I understand correctly this is the place the early Christians call, "the Bridal Chamber." It is also said to be mirrored.

Of course, the mirror does not exist; it's just a metaphor for something that cannot be expressed
in words.

THE DEEPER CHALLENGE

Various books (1e: "The Holy Blood, and the Holy Grail" and I think even
"The Da Vinci Code")have suggested that the Christ and Mary
Magdelene had children, and that somehow this holy bloodline is
significant, the fact that He had sex with Mary.
I don't see why whether the Saviour had sex with Mary
makes any difference, even if they had children, what I say is: "Big deal!"
Most of the Christian world has intuited that there was something more going
on with Mary than with the other disciples. And the HOLY BLOOD is passed on through the EUCHARIST and the CHRISM, not through bodily procreation.

There is a passage in the GOSPEL OF PHILIP, when Peter and the disciples complain to Jesus and ask him: "Why do you spend so much time with Mary and kiss her on the mouth?"
This kiss is sometimes spoken of in the early Christian texts
as imparting a spirit and a knowledge. So this kissing may not have been
sexual, but even if it were, it makes not the slightest difference. Even if
the Christ had physical children (and this is by no means certain),
it doesn't mean that the children were given the EUCHARIST from the
Christ.
Much is made of the phrases "CREATING" and "BEGETTING"
in the GOSPEL OF PHILIP. I'll let you decide which one is which, but
through one process the recipient of GRACE from the Master is made a SON.
Male and female are made one.
One who enters the BRIDAL CHAMBER might emerge
a changed person in this mirrored chamber of purification; and if the seeker
passes through the white fire and light of the CHRISM: "They shall not be
called Christians, but Christs."*****
And the MASTER says: "Do not call me Master, for he who drinks of the waters of my mouth, SHALL BECOME AS I AM AND I SHALL BE HE,
and the hidden things will be revealed to him."
What we are talking about in the Gospel Of Philip, and clearly what Jesus Christ was talking about is a REVELATION so deep, a
REALIZATION so complete as to change the IDENTITY of the seeker: to reveal
to the seeker the nature of his ultimate identity.
"BLESSED IS HE WHO WAS, BEFORE HE CAME INTO BEING."
"BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS, I AM."

What I am attempting to impart to my readers is this: there are a lot more fundamental and significant challenges that this ancient but new to us material brings than whether Jesus Christ had children. One thing is sure and this is, the Christ had many spiritual children: "through the Holy Spirit
we are 'begotten'." He still has spiritual children

"While we are in this world, it is fitting for us to acquire
the RESURRECTION, so that when we strip off the flesh, we may be found in rest and not walk in the midst." GOSPEL OF PHILIP

"He who realizes the meaning of these words will not taste death." GOSPEL OF THOMAS

ANCIENT GOSPELS FOUND ANEW -PROUD MARY

To continue on with "COMMENTS" after the BLOG, entitled: "ORIGINS and SECRETS",
the first comment became quite lengthy and it pretty much turned into a BLOG itself.
So those comments are the beginning of BLOG#4, ROVING REPORTER RANTS. Eventually I'll
have the computer skills to post it normally.
In the comments entitled "PROUD MARY", we lamented the fact that the Gospel of Mary
is only about one paragraph long, because a housewife alongside the Nile River used
the parchments of the Mary's Gospel to light fires to make breakfast.

It is astonishing to me that these very important, most ancient documents would come
to light just when they were needed. The Christ said: "I will come again." Now 2,000 years
after his death on the cross these scrolls emerge out of earthen jars hidden in the darkness
of caves in cliffs above the Nile River.
It cannot be stressed too strongly, the revelation that these Gospels exist is nothing
short of miraculous.
Some of these gospels are more ancient than the gospels that exist in our present
Bible, and closer to the source.

ORIGINS AND SECRETS: THE GRAIL QUEST

The early Christians were the pioneers of our civilization, more so than the puritans who came over on the Mayflower, more so that Cartier or Champlain, these families lived together
and all they had they shared, for the love of the Living One who had walked among them.
They were psychological pioneers, and don't you forget it! One of two basic paths they followed: (1) the path of highly disciplined asceticism ie: no sex, very little booze, plenty of meditation before dawn - and afterwards: silence perhaps for weeks, and meals would be a type of communion. Some individuals undoubtedly went off into the hills in a Vision Quest and ate
manna, bread left to them by God and found in the early morning hours when the dew was
still on the creation and and corruption had not yet come.
Now this was a tough way of life, make no mistake. No distractions, for FORGETTING
was the enemy. No T.V., no cars (O.K., there were camels and donkeys and goats, if you were
lucky) Meals were at set hours. There rest of the time was spent focusing on the Reality of the
One Who Is Creating Us. Remember this process we embody is constantly renewing Itself.
Just check out Quantum Physics to get an idea of the interior picture of the Mind of God.
REMEMBER THIS: SPACE IS NOT THE LAST FRONTIER; THE MIND IS THE LAST
FRONTIER.*
The early workers in CHRIST were the pioneers. We still are the pioneers. But we cannot do our work with blindfolds on, such as the church has imposed on us; if we are to truly know the
nature of the psyche, if we are to realize the MIND of GOD, we must have all time and space
before us and open to us. And this means INTERIOR SPACE, too, the ability to study and contemplate the space within, which is just as vast, and perhaps more interesting in the immediate future than exterior space.
Of course one space mirrors the other. The inner is as the outer, the above is the below.
But this is another topic for another day. If we have another day.
Here's a discussion from the Gospel of Truth, another GOSPEL which SHOULD have been
included in the BIBLE, which is now being included in the Bible*****.
________________________________

There's a notion called "THE MIDST' which these early pioneers used. Those who were ignorant of the Father and of his Son who comes from the bosom of the Father, those who lived in IGNORANCE lived in THE MIDST. Ignorance is the source of evil and evil is the source of ignorance. For those who were ignorant of the Father/Christ:"it was terror and disturbance and instability and doubt and division, there were many illusions at work by means of these and there were empty fictions as if they were sunk in sleep- and found themselves in disturbing dreams. Either there is a place to which they are fleeing or without strength they come from
having chased after others, or they are involved in striking blows or they are receiving blows themselves, or they have fallen from high places, or they take off into the air thought they do not even have wings. Again sometimes it is as if people were murdering them, though there is no one even pursuing them, or they themselves are killing their neighbours, for they have been stained with their blood. When those who are going through all these things wake up, they see nothing,
they who are in THE MIDST of all these disturbances, for they are nothing. * Such is they way of those who have cast ignorance aside from them like sleep, not esteeming it as anything, nor do they esteem its works as solid things either, but they leave them behind like a dream in the night.
The knowledge of the Father they value as the dawn. This is the way each one has acted,
as though asleep at the time when he was ignorant. And this is the way he has come to knowledge, as if he had awakened.
Good for the man who will return and awaken. And blessed is he who has opened the eyes of the blind.
(Thank you Harold Attridge and George MacRae for the translation).

O.K., a few points. Living in "the midst" is living in hell. Ignorance is the reason we live in
hell. Hell exists in the past, the present and the future, but it is not eternal. There is no such thing as eternal damnation.
Many will disagree, but THESE ARE THE FACTS!
(Editors' Note: Our Reporter is rarely humble. But he never
gets the story wrong).

The only thing that is eternal is the Mind at the Eye of God. The Mind of God knows the eternal: all past and future are present in the Mind of God. The Mind of God lives in the present; MYTH is the language of the present, of eternal realms, the "Dream Time" (see
Joseph Campbell). This is the meaning of the archetypes, entities, psychological realities
which exist forever in that frontier land, the Mind, the place the adventurous must study.
Now, more than ever, we need adventurous souls: brave souls who are willing to risk their
lives in the pursuit of the dangerous truth. I can assure you of one thing. This quest for the truth, this quest for Awakening; it is the real Grail Quest.
The adventurer, who sets out upon this path, will be forced to give up nothing less than everything.
This the Master assures us.

RELIGION AND IMAGINATIVE LITERATURE

When I was at the University of Toronto, I had a great teacher. His name was Father Belyea.
He taught a course with the above title. I do this blog and research in his honour.

The words, "Roving Reporter" together with the logo is copywrited: ( C ) 1982.
The logo is not posted yet.

First, we must go into religious history if we are to understand our present circumstance.

Christianity in the West labours under some basic misconceptions. It appears that we have been deliberately led into this false position of misunderstanding. Subsequently, well-meaning
priests and ministers have used their best efforts to make a patchwork quilt of our knowledge of the Christ.

Providentially, the power of God is such that no misconception can continue forever. Ancient
holy books that have been suppressed throughout Christian history are just now coming to light 2,000 years after the death of the Master.

"Do not call me 'Master' for he who drinks from my mouth will become as I am and I shall be
he, and the hidden things shall be revealed to him."

This is a passage from the Gospel of Thomas, one of the holy books rejected by the Council of Nicea, 425A.D. It looks as if the compilation of the Bible at that time was put together by
what we today would call "The Chamber of Commerce."

And why would this be? The teachings of Christ were too strong. Imagine what would happen
to property law if we were to take His precepts seriously.

Also, the very nature of our understanding of Christ would have been fundamentally changed
had we possessed these holy books hidden for two millennia. Just meditate on the
words, 'he will becomes as I am'.

These words imply that the one who follows Christ and drinks the waters from His mouth will
not merely gain in faith, but will undergo a basic change of identity. Clear your mind of thought
and think on this!

Think of this Blog as a course at the University.

Please read the Gospel of Thomas before my next blog, when we will go deeper into
the matter.
Forum for discussion will be set up later.

PRESCRIPTION

PRESCRIPTION

I'll write you a prescription;

I'll write it with honey and blood;

With scraps of newspapers, spring waters

Evergreen berries and mud.

With stars that shine so brightly

On the brilliant axel tree,

Tree on which the world turns,

Leaving you and me to stare

Across the waters by the moon.

*

And to wonder about the promises

We made, or why the time came

So late or so soon.

 And wonder where the

many-coloured river of lights leads us,

Day to day. And why it didn't turn out

Another way.

*

We are here now with the lights flashing

And the silence of the sea, ships passing.

Go ahead, laugh! the wild gull of freedom

Waits, and screams his half-mad

Wisdom scream.

*

And what do I have but words

To reach you across the distances?

I have my kiss,

I have a flood of freshwater tears.

All the stories have been told.

I will not tell you a story.

*

I will mix you a melody, with a

Thousand ingredients. A melody

Is where it is, it never leads somewhere.

It is either enough or it is nothing.

A melody, it is the stuff of paradise

And dreams; it is the stuff of an empty,

Filthy alley, with cyanide queens

And the growl of hyenas.

*

The glowing panther eyes become

The flowing semen of the mainstream.

With its eternal ways and means,

Mainstreet. The monkeys laugh!

The impotent bones crack.

All that was proud pounds between

The sidewalk cracks. The wind hits

Like a hammer, the last of winter

Blows.

I wait now now while the spring melts

Into the morningglow.

*

And I write you this prescription

From my heart and soul. God knows

It might be all I can give to you that

Grows.

*

I wait here in the wildwind and the

Alleyfilth, while the rats bloat,

While the whirlwind turns a

Galaxy of worlds. While the gull

Flies through a new dawn,

And I discard my old clothes.

I wait while the old winter dies

And spring blows.

* * * * * * *
