LIE ON YOUR LEFT SIDE, MY BELOVED

"Yes, I remember, Lady,
Out of the glistening night
How we bathed in the gleaming sea
And tasted Paradise."

LIE ON YOUR LEFT SIDE,  MY BELOVED

Lie on your right side,my Beloved,
Death comes more easily that way
The death of all you didn't love
And all you tried to save...

No, just lie here so peaceful
In the womb of the greater day
Owl light by altared candles
And the dancing gift she gave;

Lie here, my Beloved,
In the tomb of the windy night
And caress your lover's hair
And kiss the liquid air
Of her thighs and sighs,
Hear the water lap the shore
She is with you no more
Yet you lie in the night
In her embrace, in your gladdest Grace,
On your right side, my Beloved,
In the middle of the night
With no one there, you shall see her face
Bathe in her glad embrace
In the dreaming dark tomb of space.
